Paintball is played outside, normally in fields with some areas of cover. Firing paintballs at the opposition is the primary objective of most paintballs games, with two teams fighting eachother to win the game. Paintball is played using relatively cheap paintball guns that are gas-powered, with hoppers that hold the paintballs. Players will be given a paintball gun and a coverall suit to protect their clothes from the paint when they get hit. Paintballs are small round gelatin casings filled with a mix of food colouring and vegetable oil which burst on impact leaving a splat of colour on the target. Additional paintballs will need to be bought throughout the day as you will only be provided with a small amount at the start of the day, however they are cheap.

One of the most important aspects of paintball is safety. It is of vital importance that the safety goggles you will be provided with are worn at all times during game play. Even if you are out of the game, you must keep your goggles on until you have left the field and are in an area that is deemed safe, eyes are particulary vunerable when hit with a paintball. Sticking the the most important safety rule of not removing your goggles until you are off the field of play means your paintball experience will be a safe and ejoyable one.
