There are two main classes of used golf carts. Refurbished golf carts have been inspected, cleaned, and sometimes reupholstered by the dealer or manufacturer. Many times a dealer will include a short warranty period with a refurbished golf cart. Since you are purchasing the golf cart from the dealer you will often have the ability to select particular features, equipment, and custom paint and upholstery.
 
 You will most likely pay more for these special features or options, but you will still pay much less than you would when buying a new golf cart. Used golf carts are also available “as is”. When purchasing one of these from a dealer you can be assured that it has gone through a basic inspection but it will not receive the complete overhaul that a refurbished golf cart will. These type of used golf carts will not come with a warranty. Prior to making a final choice it is wise to visit many different dealers with solid reputations.
 
 Speaking with a knowledgeable dealer will allow you to narrow down the type of used golf cart that will work for you. Before you layout your hard earned money on cheap used golf carts you should inspect it carefully to see if they have any signs of wear and tear as well as rust. Ask the seller if there have been any items either repaired or replaced. If possible take a test drive to get an idea of how the cart drives. If possible test it going up hills and weighted down with passengers.
